Are you constantly feeling low on energy? Do you find that it’s hard to relax at night? Are you looking for a sustainable way to cope with stress? Hong Kong is the 5th most stressed out city in the world, the tension affects everyone differently- in mood, functioning and aches. It’s evident that we need sustainable and practical solutions to manage the daily grind of the city and that starts with an inner balance which is the essence of yoga. We are hosting an exclusive event to discuss the secrets of sleep and stress management catered for fast paced lifestyles.

Sadly the yoga principles aren’t effectively translated in a studio setting and those seasoned to a practice are stuck believing that contorting into an advanced yoga poses means they are progressing. Staying at the physical level is a playground for the ego, getting into the pose to take a photo to put on Instagram so you can compare yourself with others, is that why we do yoga? The tradition of yoga has been passed down with philosophy from teacher to student, understanding why the practice is important helps us to evolve into spiritual growth. Yoga is designed to connect body, breath and mind, the ultimate purpose is to still the body and silence the mind as an embodiment of peace.

Inspire Yoga was born out of a vision to empower the individual, to create an awareness of their own health needs and sculpt a program of personal guidance to make the practice relevant to what the client is experiencing in their life. “There are no lesson plans, we teach based off your energetic feedback” Some days you feel energetic, some days you are anxious, some days you have a kink in your neck, we cater to individual needs. When we become aware of what we need we are more inclined to make changes, what is happening now is that we normalize high stress levels that we don’t acknowledge the mental agitation until it erupts in a physical manifestation. The root cause is in the mind, we use yoga techniques to access the mind through releasing stiffness in the body, increasing energy through breathwork and inserting positive intentions of health and harmony in meditation.

The average age of our clients are 41.5 years and 80% of them are men! When men approach middle age and realize the imminent need to slow down, being battered with occupational tension, work stress and constant travel do they really have access to yoga in a studio setting? Our clients may already have a health condition, chronic tension or stress related illness, they need a more tailored approach to finding their balance. The personal attention, hands on stretching and adjustments of alignments mean they feel safe, there is a trusted relationship with their teacher, and they don’t have to feel lost at the back of a class trying to keep up with a preset yoga sequence instead step by step they are led on their mat in the comfort and privacy of their own home. Having freedom to set the pace, intensity and focus of the class means you are in control to feel empowered to reach your wellness goals. Spending time to consciously decompress and reconnect with vital energy channels means that yoga becomes an integrative lifestyle practice and not something to tick off your weekly to do list, the benefits are seen of a physical, energetic and psychological level.
